Peyton's Birthday

Happy 7th birthday to Peyton. He celebrated by inviting his friends to a basketball and swimming party. He came up with the combination on his own it was just my job to make it happen.
Peyton has such a great group of friends. It is fun to watch them play and grow together. It is also a bonus that they have great parents who are fun to watch all the baseball, basketball, soccer, and football games with.
Peyton was more excited to show Kempton off to his class then he was about his Birthday treat.
On 3/30/03 at 3:00 in the morning my life changed forever. Being a mom to this amazing little boy is an exhausting wonderful blessing . It is always a party when Peyton is around! I met with Peyton's teacher this week and she started to get emotional talking about him and what a great boy he is. She said it is sad for her to think about him not being in her class next year. Peyton just makes everything more fun.
Peyton is a born Ute! He loves sports and is fiercely competitive (we are working on channeling that). He sets a goal and doesn't rest until he achieves it. His focus and determination have been evident since he was a baby and started walking at 10 months old.
Peyton is also very thoughtful and loves babies. He is always asking to give Kempton his bottle and enjoys holding his new baby cousins.
Peyton wants to do anything his dad does. They can be found golfing, skiing, or working together any given Saturday.
I wish I could freeze time even just for a while because before I know it, this little man will be heading off on his mission (which he reminds me of often). We Love You Peyton!

Egg Hunt

We all gathered for the annual Easter egg hunt and birthday weekend in Logan. We have six family birthdays within two weeks and three of them are on the same day. The Easter egg hunt is also very serious business in these parts.
Kempton caught on quickly to finding eggs the only problem was once he had one in each hand he couldn't figure out how to pick up another.
The adult egg hunt (I know it sounds funny) is the highlight of the day. It is very competitive and you have to guard your eggs because swiping others eggs is not an uncommon occurrence even if it involves wrestling another to get the most eggs.
Nana and Grandpa's house is always fun with so much to do and play.

Look Who's Turning Five

Happy Birthday to Lexi! For the past five years Lexi has been a wonderful blessing in our lives.
She came into this world a happy, inquisitive, beautiful little girl.
Lexi has always been daddy's little girl. Everyday she writes cute notes and wraps little gifts for someone. Last week our neighbor showed up with cupcakes for Lexi to thank her for the nice note she had delivered. I had no idea Lexi had even made something for them. She loves playing dolls, dressing up and all things girl. But she doesn't let that stop her from playing with her favorite playmate Peyton. Together they like to ride bikes, play games, and jump on the trampoline.
Having Lexi around the house is so much fun because she is always dancing and singing. Taylor Swift is her favorite. However, when she gets tired the dancing stops and the attitude appears.
Lexi had a great little Birthday party with her friends. It is amazing how excited kids can get over a bag of tokens and tickets for prizes.
Cute Aunt Chelsey found the perfect ballerina swimsuit and dress for Lexi.
Happy Birthday Lexi! One down and two more birthdays to go this week.

Disneyland

One of our favorite places to take the kids is Disneyland (during off peak times). We were lucky none of the lines were very long and some of the rides we could even walk right on. The crazy thing was four families from our neighborhood were there at the same time.
This picture pretty much sums up Peyton's trip. He must have gone on Screamin more than 15 times. He loves roller coasters!
This is what Lexi did while Peyton rode on Screamin. She choose this Sea Horse every time because she liked the diamonds. She is such a girl.
Kempton just loved watching everything and riding the rides that he could.
Peyton and Lexi were both chosen for Jedi training. Lexi was one of the only girls but she was so excited because she had always watched Peyton on previous trips.
Grizzly River Run was a big hit with the kids but that meant getting really wet.
Kempton had a cold while we were there but he did not let that stop him.
One of my favorite things is night time at Disneyland with the parades and fireworks.
It is always hard to leave "the happiest place" on earth but also great to be home. Kempton slept for six hours the day we got home. We were all pretty exhausted.
