Mr. Trouble

Kempton is a full time job these days. He has two speeds: fast forward and pause (and that is only when he is asleep)! He is not only fast he is also fearless and determined, a scary combination when it comes to safety. There is no stopping him because he will figure his way out of anything (as pictured above). If I turn my back for a second Kempton can be found on top of anything like his highchair, our table, top bunk even climbing a tree.
Kempton is one going on eight. He thinks that he can do anything Peyton and his friends do- skateboarding, playing baseball, or the Wii are a few of his favorite. He watches and follows everything we do. The other night Lance found him in the bathroom with the nail clippers trying to clip his toe nails.
Kempton loves to run down the hills in our backyard. However, it is important to remind him to look forward when running because you never know when your face might meet a tree hence the bruising above. Even a fall won't stop this wild man he just keeps going.
I think I should be worried however, Peyton was the exact same way and he seems to be turning out fine. Good thing Kempton is so darn cute or I may need to turn him in for a slower model.

Slip'n'Slide

150 feet of slippery, wet, fun!
My dad is the genius behind this little innovation. The adults love it just as much as the kids. We all have a great time!

4th of July

We enjoyed four days of celebration over the 4th of July weekend. First we welcomed my brother, sister-in-law and their new baby Jensen home after six years of being away. Dr.Poole Congratulation on completing your Orthodontic residency! The weekend was full of activities to welcome them home. Our first parade was the Cruisin with all the neat old fashion cars. The night of the fireworks my parents hosted a big party complete with the traditional homemade root beer. Kempton with his newest cousins. Check out the hair on 8 week old Jensen. Peyton and Lexi playing and anxiously awaiting the big firework show.
Kempton was in awe watching the fireworks and hearing the booming and popping.
Peyton loves hanging out his cousin Cooper.
The next day we all enjoyed being together for Jensen's baby blessing.
The last day we attended the annual Hyrum Independence parade. However, it was very hot and crowded. I think the men were lucky to be golfing instead.
When we got home we met our friends at the park to see the cute Nielson family who was in town for a visit.
