Happy Mother's Day, Anniversary, Birthday

Well it has been a busy week at our house. It is funny how we like to compact all of our holidays into one week. I guess we should have planned a little better when we chose our wedding date. However, all I can remember is wanting to get married as soon as Lance finished school. Mother's Day was filled with sweet surprises from Lance and the kids. Lance helped the kids with little presents and did all the meal prep and dishes.
Lance planned a romantic night at La Caille for our anniversary. The best part was he arranged everything from the reservation to the babysitter.
I think Lance's favorite part was playing on the little three par hole that is on the grounds. He almost hit the pin, me on the other hand accidentally hit a goose that was on the little fairway (don't worry he was ok).
I can't believe we have been married for nine years. I am looking forward to many more.
My Birthday was great! While I was out to lunch and getting a pedicure my sisters helped the kids make a cake and clean their rooms. The best gift a mom can get.

The Injury Report

The Utah red and white game was a great success with thousands of fans and excitement from the Sugar Bowl still overflowing. Except for one thing..... Before the team scrimmage they invited the former players to come and enjoy a friendly flag football game. However as you can see from the picture above it is not always so friendly. It is hard for these guys who are ultra competitive and great athletes (at least formerly) to not play full out. Lance #16 was feeling a little pressure to step up his game because at their fall scrimmage lets just say he did not have his best game. So he went out last Saturday to play hard and he sure did. He threw for two touchdowns over 50 yards and caught an interception when he was playing defense. Then just before halftime he was scrambling at the goal line and leaped for the endzone and Morgan Scalley was ready to stop him. Lance flipped and fell landing head and shoulder first. He was unconscious for a few seconds and just kept repeating the same questions. Well needless to say he had a concussion.
The kids were not worried they were just excited to be down on the field.
Peyton is already trying to teach Kempton how to play catch.
Lexi immediately made new friends with the cheerleaders and performed Utah Man after every touchdown.
Lance was glad his sacrifice was not in vain his team did win. Coach Whit called the next day to make sure all was well and congratulated Lance on one of the most exciting plays of the day. Go Utes!

The third child

So, by this age Peyton and Lexi had their picture taken a few times. Now that Kempton is almost three months old I thought I better get him some pictures so he can have something to show for when he was a baby. My sister who is the third child in my family has hardly any pictures of when she was baby and still holds it against my mom to this day. I'm trying to avoid this same wrath.
Kempton is such a GREAT baby! He just hangs out most of the day and is content to watch all the commotion around him. He rarely cries and is usually the last child to get their needs taken care of. He loves to babble and smile at whoever will play with him. I am sure one of these days he will figure out that whoever is the loudest usually is taken care of first.

Kempton's Blessing

Your baby's blessing is always one of those special days that make you feel very grateful.
I can't believe I am now a mother of three. They are each very unique and add a lot of spice to our crazy life.
It is so neat to see so many of the people you love together to celebrate this sweet new addition.
All of our favorite babysitters converged at one table.
It was a Top Ten Day!

Lance's Birthday

We wanted to surprise Lance at his office and take him to lunch for his Birthday.
Peyton was very integral in planning for Lance's Birthday. So, we went to Cold Stone and the kids picked out the mint oreo ice cream cake (Lance's favorite). Then Peyton knew just what to get for his present, a new Ute flag and clock. He knows his Dad very well.
My favorite thing was enjoying dinner out with Lance, just the two of us. Lance is such a great husband and dad he deserves the happiest of Birthdays. Thanks for all you do Babe! I LOVE YOU

Ski the Beav

Peyton was so excited to go skiing with his dad. He woke up bright an early and was ready to catch the fresh powder at the Beav.
I grew up skiing at Beaver Mountain. It is such a great resort, nothing fancy or too big. No offense to Lance and all the Deer Valley skiers.
Peyton had a tough morning getting used to his ski's and dad was getting a little frustrated. However, after a well needed lunch break, Peyton started getting the hang of it and was skiing down the mountain all by himself!
Overall Peyton had a great day skiing with his cousins. The first thing he said to me when he got home was "that was awesome can we go tomorrow?!"

Peyton's Birthday

Well, it is our month of Birthdays. Peyton turned the big six. It seems like he has been looking forward to his Birthday since before Christmas. After a lot of thought he finally decided to have his Birthday party at Nickelmania. The boys loved playing all the games and winning tickets for prizes. We went to Rodizio's for his Birthday dinner. It is amazing how much food this boy can eat! He thought the all you can meat was "awesome". Happy Birthday Peyton. We Love You!

Lexi's Birthday

Lexi had a great birthday! She loved being the center of attention on her special day. She insisted Peyton wore the crown so he wasn't left out.
Her birthday cake was two of her favorite things: pink and chocolate.
She chose to go to Jungle Jim's for her birthday party. The girls were having so much fun I had to call their moms to see if we could extend the party for an hour.
The last four years have flown by. Lexi is so much fun to have around. She is always dancing, singing (Taylor Swift is her favorite), or playing with her dolls. I cherish these days and hope time slows down before she is really driving off with her friends.
Most of the kids had never been there. So, Peyton was a great ride coordinator as he directed the girls from one ride to the next. Lexi picked Joe's Crab Shack for for her dinner celebration. She loves when the music plays and all the servers dance. Thanks Nana, Grandpa and Aunts for all the Barbies and Barbie gear. She loves it!

All Things Green

St. Patrick's day was filled with Luck, Leprechauns, and lots of Green. We were all decked out in green to insure no one would get pinched. The kids were surprised to find a sneaky leprechaun had come during the night and turned the milk and butter green. Each year they look forward to what tricks the leprechauns will play on them. My sister Marin threw a great St. Patty's Day party. All the food was green and delicious! Peyton got a kick out of Sam's complete Leprechaun costume. It is always fun to catch up with old friends and mingle with new ones. The cutest leprechaun of all was little Kempton. With these cute dimples he definitely has the Luck O' the Irish!
